SCORE Global Report is updated for 2022-2023

Recently, in order to document the achievements and successes of SCORE training around the world, the International Labor Organization released the SCORE Global Report, Sustainability in Enterprise (SCORE) Program update 2022-2023, which selects impressive highlights and successes of SCORE programs conducted from 2022 to 2023 from cases submitted by all the countries where SCORE programs have been conducted. Cases. Given the large number of SCORE activities taking place around the world, a selection of case studies and highlights (one per country) have been included in this update. More global cases can be viewed on the SCORE webpage, which will be updated regularly. In addition, the report provides a global update on the SCORE program, as well as an update on the launch of the global SCORE Trainer Network and the newly launched SCORE Climate Module.

 

        Since 2010, the SCORE program has been implemented in more than 30 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Central Asia in Latin America. As of August 2023, more than 921,000 workers and managers in more than 5,200 organizations have received SCORE training. SCORE Trainer Network
    On June 28, 2022, the SCORE Trainer Network was launched to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experience among experts and SCORE trainers from around the world. By organizing regular online events, the global SCORE team seeks to promote the participation of SCORE trainers and provide them with the opportunity to learn about new industry trends that are critical to sustaining SCORE in their countries. This initiative is also part of the team's sustainability strategy to promote SCORE training as an important tool for increasing productivity and improving working conditions on a large scale.
    The second online event "Successes and Innovations in Implementing SCORE Training" was held on November 23, 2022 . Participants engaged in active discussions and shared practical examples of SCORE training they delivered during the 2019 epidemic, as well as their experiences in sustaining and scaling up SCORE training in their countries.
    The latest SCORE Global Trainers' Webinar was held on April 19, 2023, on the topic of "Supporting SMEs to Move Towards a Circular Economy and Net Zero." More than 70 attendees connected to learn from the success story of Lecka, a small business that produces nutritious snacks in Vietnam. Founder Marcus shared the steps taken to improve the company's sustainability, including the use of eco-friendly packaging and tracking and publishing their greenhouse gas emissions online. During the webinar, participants learned about the new SCORE Climate Module.


SCORE Climate Module
    The SCORE Climate Module is designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on their path to a circular economy. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the benefits of moving from a linear economic model to a circular economy, which is not only good for the environment but also brings substantial benefits to SMEs and their workers. The benefits include cost savings, increased productivity, competitiveness, resilience and occupational safety and health.
